Watch/listen to a new Shaking Through w/ Philly’s Sweet Lights

This month’s episode of Shaking Through—the online audio and video collaboration between Weathervane Music and WXPN—features a new song by Philadelphia’s own Sweet Lights, “You Let Me Down.” Sweet Lights is the moniker of Shai Halperin’s current solo project, under which he released a self-titled digital album and a series of music videos in early 2011; the session was curated by Weathervane Music co-founder Brian McTear. Philly’s Sweet Lights Is At It Again (covering Sharon Van Etten)

Philly’s Sweet Lights is at it again. Hot on the heels of this pretty rad video, he’s just recorded a cover of Sharon Van Etten’s “One Day.” Sweet Lights is solo project from Shai Halperin from The Capitol Years. Here’s what he says about the song: “Somehow I didn’t hear any Sharon Van Etten music until last week. Well…she’s great.
So I recorded this.”
