Head to higher ground for Rimar’s rhythm and dream pop

21 May

Thanks to Cactus-Mouth for turning me on to the mid-fi 80’s influenced rhythm and dream/R&D-pop of Columbus, Ohio producer Rimar. Mining some very groovy samples and a vibe that sounds like some cool wack mix of George Benson meets the World’s Famous Supreme Team show, Jodeci and The Gap Band or some fat shit like that, Rimar’s new album will make a nice companion piece to all you Weeknd/House of Balloons freaks out there. You can download the album Higher Ground for free right here
