Yes, dear power pop and rock fans. It’s true: Philly’s Bigger Lovers are reuniting to celebrate the 10th anniversary release of their debut album, How I Learned To Stop Worrying which came out on March 13th, 2001. The reissue – which includes two bonus tracks recorded during the original sessions, and expanded liner notes – is being released digitally and on vinyl on March 8th. To celebrate the band is performing a show at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 12th. The band played their last show together in November, 2005.
If all this news doesn’t rock your power pop heart, there’s also some new music – and some of it free. From today through February 1st, the band is offering a new song called “Little Giant” as a free download which you can get from their Bandcamp site here. The song is one of four new tunes (plus a remix) from an EP called the Little Giant Maxi Single that the band began working on in the Spring of 2005.
