Music lovers like us (and you) all love mixtapes. This one, put together by Philly local musician Charlie Hall has a summer came and went kind of musical vibe. Which is why Mr. Hall decided to give the mixtape that name. While you may not know his name, Hall’s done some fantastic work of note over the last several years including drumming in War On Drugs, playing an assortment of instruments with the Lindsey Buckingham Appreciation Society, singing with The Silver Ages. He’s been one of Philly’s secret-go-to guys and all the records and band’s he’s played with are that much better with him. Of course, he’s got incredible musical taste in music and has pulled together songs by Tears for Fears, Gayngs, Beach House, Cocteau Twins, The Clientele, Grouper, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Ian Matthews, The Stills Young Band, Genesis, The Pretenders, Washed Out, Sun Airway, Miles Davis, Nightlands, Feist, Richard Hawley and Derek and the Dominoes which you can download here. The only thing missing here is some Association.
