There are a lot of things that I just love love love about the new self-titled album from The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. It’s 35 minutes long. They’re in; they’re out. The Brooklyn noise-popsters hold you in a way that The Buzzcocks, The Undertones, The Wedding Present, J&M Chain and 14 Iced Bears used to hold you. And when the 35 minutes are over, the leave you wanting more.
The new album is on Slumberland Records
