An early R&B/Rock rave-up guaranteed to rock the house

27 Jan
So I was driving around the other day punching up and down on the radio dial and this song comes on that completely rocked my boat. Said tune was by Don and Dewey, and R&B duo from Los Angeles who were signed to the legendary Specialty Records in the late 50’s. Don was Don “Sugarcane” Harris and Dewey was Dewey Terry. Harris’s name may be familiar to all of you Frank Zappa fans, as Harris – who played guitar and violin – went on to perform with Zappa on many of his classic records like Hot Rats and Weasels Ripped My Flesh. Anyway, put this song on at your next party…..right next Back In Black and Girl Talk.

Farmer John – Don and Dewey
