My New Infatuation: Lord Huron

22 Sep

My latest infatuation is LA based Lord Huron – based on the glowing support of Rollo & Grady, a blog that always knows what musical time it is. Lord Huron is singer-songwriter Benji Schneider, hails from Michigan, hence the name. The new EP is wonderfully creative, sitting somewhere in the continuum of Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective, some old Calypso records and Paul Simon’s “Was A Sunny Day.” A breath of fresh air is totally cliche, but it is. Look for more new music in, possibly, October.

Into The Sun – Lord Huron (via Altered Zones)

Mighty – Lord Huron (just a taste!)
